2024-2025

In the following project, the school responded to the 1740s painting by Canaletto, 'A Regatta on the Grand Canal'. Many of the projects were interested in the boat race, the architecture and the celebratory decorations of the event. As part of the project, the classes worked in conjunction with the Canal and River Trust in understanding the importance of water safety, especially near our own local canal and bridging links between the canal in Venice and Wigan's canal. 

Artwork from this year's project has been shortlisted and is awaiting confirmation of selection for the Summer 2026 exhibition.
