2021-2022

With the experience of teachers in the arts team, the project was run as a whole school unit of work for the first time. Each class was tasked with responding to the 1773 painting by Claude Vernet ' A Shipwreck on Stormy Seas'. This led to an extensive array of responses concerned with the possible find of treasure, the focal ship and the lighthouse on the coastline. 

For the fourth consecutive year, artwork produced by our school was both shortlisted and exhibited as part of the summer 2023 Take One Picture showcase.
