The Finding of Moses by Orazio Gentileschi

2020-2021

Following the full reopening of the school, the project was expanded to teachers' classes within the Art team. Each class followed the stages of exploration and detective work to create their own artwork inspired by the 1630s piece 'The Finding of Moses' by Orazio Gentileschi. Questions sparked by the painting were: 'Is the baby not going to be cold?' and 'How would they have made different colours for the clothes?' Two projects were both shortlisted and selected for exhibition as part of the in-house and virtual show.
